Chapter 01 The Heart of YQHT

Why proper rest matters in horse transport

Long-distance travel can leave horses with joint fatigue and muscle tension. Having first-rate stabling part-way along the route is essential to ease the stress of the journey, protect your horse's welfare and meet European regulations.

Resting in roomy, properly conditioned facilities lets the digestive system settle, which markedly reduces the risk of colic. We attend to every detail, from the careful selection of high-quality hay in each manger to surroundings that are as natural as possible and help the horse relax mentally. At YQHT our aim is for the horse to arrive in the best possible physical and mental condition, which makes us the right choice for any logistical need.

Our stables: the premium logistics centre

YQHT has one of the most complete stable yards around, and it is not merely an administrative base: it is the heart of our operations. We currently have room to house 45 horses comfortably, with plans to expand in the short term to 80, adding a new stable block and a clubroom.

Rather than following the trend for prefabricated standard builds or a basic concrete model, our centre was purpose-designed around handling horses properly, which makes it unusually robust and unusually comfortable for the transport sector.

Connectivity
01

Where our equestrian facilities sit, and why it matters

Our logistics stables are in Vallbona d'Anoia (postcode 08785), a strategic spot just 20 minutes from Barcelona. The location gives us fast, efficient connections for bringing routes from all over Spain together with Europe, covering destinations such as Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands. That keeps transit times down and lets us offer a punctual, dependable service to every client.

Comfort
02

Stables and rest areas: maximum comfort for your horse

The centre has spacious stables designed for maximum safety. We use bedding at the right depth to protect the horses' joints, so every animal is treated as it should be. Our exercise and turnout areas are comprehensive: 15 individual paddocks, a horse walker for daily exercise, one indoor arena and three outdoor arenas, where horses can stretch their legs and enjoy more freedom during their stay.

Management
03

Horse transport and logistics, managed end to end

This is where we bring together every operation and all the paperwork for our international routes. To keep the service faultless, the base has infrastructure dedicated solely to the comfort and safety of the horses and the fleet, including dedicated wash bays for lorries and vans and professional maintenance equipment. There are also administrative offices and on-site accommodation so our drivers rest properly.

24/7 monitoring: constant care at our centre

Because our offices and the care facilities are on the same site, we keep constant control over every aspect of the transport. Our team lives at the base itself, which means immediate, personal attention at any hour — a key factor in settling horses that stay overnight along the route.

Protection
05

Surveillance and guaranteed equine welfare

Our location and security facilities are designed to offer the highest level of protection for both the horses and the staff. This includes advanced surveillance and monitoring systems to ensure that the horses remain safe at all times, whether inside the facilities or during transport.

Preguntas Frecuentes

Frequently asked questions about stabling with us

How long does a horse rest in the stables during a route?

Rest time is planned strictly according to the length of the route and the animal transport regulations in force. As a rule, the scheduled stops provide the hours of rest, by night and by day, that the horse needs to recover fully.

What kind of stables do you use at the facilities?

Our stables are generously sized, designed without sharp edges and properly ventilated. We use highly absorbent bedding that keeps horses warm and protects their joints, for surroundings that are safe and restful.

Is veterinary care available at the logistics centre?
